From the 1st of October this year Premier Hardwood Decking is working closely with a tree planting program, and have agreed to plant over 100 trees each year to help off set our small carbon footprint.
The program specialise in biodiverse conservation plantings using trees and shrubs that are native to the region. The trees sequester carbon, help reduce soil salinity, help combat wind and water erosion, enhance biodiversity and restore habitat for native animals.
Planting trees also provides local employment, supports local business, and may contribute to increased rainfall
The program has planted trees across more than 140 sites in WA and SA. Our focus in now on the Mid West of WA Wheatbelt in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, an area where more than 90% of the land has been cleared.
The video above explains in more detail about the program and how it can benifit all of us.
Premier Hardwood Decking are Perth`s only sustainable decking company.
